Role overview

Senior Software Engineer (Backend Focus) joining a fast-growing, product-driven team building an AI-enabled service platform for IT organizations. You’ll own backend features end-to-end—from development and deployment to monitoring and production support—shipping frequently in a high-velocity environment.

Responsibilities

Design, build, and maintain scalable, production-grade backend services
Develop and scale backend systems for real-time communication (chat/messaging/integrations) and automation
Create and maintain APIs/services used across a multi-tenant SaaS platform
Work on high-throughput systems with complex integrations and background processing
Build systems that handle large request volumes, rate limits, and production realities
Take features end-to-end (deployment, monitoring, ongoing support)
Collaborate with Product, Design, and engineering teams; participate in code reviews
Contribute to system architecture and technical decision-making
Mentor and support other engineers
Improve performance, reliability, and observability

Requirements

5–10 years of professional software engineering experience
Strong backend engineering expertise and experience building scalable systems
Proficiency with:
- PHP (Laravel)
- Node.js
- TypeScript
- MySQL
Experience with high-scale, multi-tenant SaaS platforms
Experience with asynchronous processing (queues/background jobs/streaming)
Experience building/supporting integrations with third-party APIs
Ability to iterate and ship high-quality code in a fast-paced environment
Strong ownership and accountability
Comfortable in collaborative, cross-functional teams

Nice to have

Experience with real-time systems or chat-based applications
Familiarity with event-driven architectures (e.g., Kafka/streaming systems)
Experience using AI-powered developer tools
Startup or high-growth environment background
