Role Overview

Senior Software Engineer (Remote)

You will independently develop and continuously redesign/refactor software products to meet the needs of customers and associates. You’ll work on an end-to-end order fulfillment platform that receives customer orders, orchestrates fulfillment workflows, and sends fulfillment instructions to stores for accurate, timely execution.

Responsibilities

Delivery & Execution (50%): Develop, test, deploy, and maintain software; tackle new and complex problems; achieve results under pressure.
Quality & Release: Build test suites (including functional/destructive-style tests) to enable rapid and reliable production deployments.
Learning & Growth (20%): Experiment and learn from outcomes; seek challenges and growth through development channels.
Planning & Alignment (20%): Collaborate in agile processes; ensure user stories are valuable, developer-ready, and testable; communicate effectively across audiences.
Support & Enable (10%): Guide and mentor less experienced engineers; lead technical discussions.

Requirements

Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.
18+ years of age.
Ability to work remotely (no travel required).

Preferred Qualifications

2–4 years of relevant work experience.
Experience with Java and Spring Boot.
Experience with GCP.
Experience with Elasticsearch.
Experience with AI tools.
Experience with security frameworks for authentication/authorization.
Experience creating and executing unit, functional, destructive, and performance tests.
Strong debugging and root-cause analysis skills.
Experience with version control systems.

Mentorship / Leadership

Expected to help grow junior engineers through guidance and technical leadership; no direct reports required.
