Role overview

Senior Software Engineer (Python/TypeScript) at SpotOn in a high-autonomy, high-impact position. You will identify inefficiencies in business operations and replace manual work with AI-driven, agentic automation systems in a fast-paced fintech environment.

Key missions

Identify workflow bottlenecks and manual processes suitable for automation; own the end-to-end business automation process.
Design and ship AI-driven systems that replace manual labor using agentic workflows and orchestration layers for complex, multi-step processes.
Define success metrics, measure automation impact in business terms, and report value delivered.

Responsibilities

Architect solutions with operations, sales, and support stakeholders.
Build full automation pipelines and the dashboards that prove the automation works.
Work iteratively: prototype quickly (same-day POCs) and refine ruthlessly.
Communicate technical progress in business outcomes.

Requirements

7+ years professional software engineering experience; strong understanding of systems at scale.
Experience building multi-agent / agentic workflows including task decomposition, agent specialization, orchestration, and error recovery.
Hands-on production experience with LLMs and AI agents (1–2+ years) (not demos/hackathons).
Strong full-stack capability: backend services, APIs, and frontend interfaces.
Production-grade proficiency in Python and TypeScript/JavaScript.
Experience implementing custom AI orchestration layers / multi-agent systems for business process automation.
Ability to translate non-technical stakeholder workflows (e.g., sit with support leads) into technical solutions.
Daily hands-on use of AI coding tools (e.g., Claude Code, Cursor, GitHub Copilot, Windsurf) and ability to push them.
CI/CD and cloud infrastructure experience (AWS/GCP/Azure).
Strong awareness of real failure modes: hallucinations, flaky agent workflows, and cost optimization.

Nice-to-haves

1+ experience in ops automation, business process reengineering, or internal tooling at fast-growing companies.
Familiarity with Salesforce platform development (Apex, Lightning, APIs).
Prior experience communicating and reporting impact via dashboards and business metrics.
