About the role

Role Overview

Senior Software Engineer (Primarily Frontend) to design, develop, and maintain user-facing features for Wild Zebra’s AI-powered learning platform.

Responsibilities

Build performant, accessible, responsive web interfaces
Collaborate with product and design teams to define feature requirements
Integrate frontend components with backend services and APIs
Write clean, maintainable code and participate in architectural discussions
Perform code reviews
Improve application reliability, scalability, and development processes
Mentor team members and support a culture of experimentation and continuous improvement

Requirements

Strong foundations in computer science (algorithms, data structures, system design)
Strong programming and OOP skills using modern web languages/frameworks
Frontend engineering experience with modern JavaScript frameworks (e.g., React or Vue), plus HTML and CSS
Experience with APIs, microservices, and database-driven applications (back-end web fundamentals)
Comfort with Git, CI/CD, testing frameworks, and performance optimization
Ability to work effectively in a hybrid environment and communicate clearly with technical and non-technical stakeholders
Prior experience building scalable, production-grade web applications
Bachelor’s degree in CS/Engineering (or equivalent practical experience)
