Senior Software Engineer - Platform Team

Role Overview

Senior Software Engineer on the Platform Team (EDP). You’ll build shared platform foundations—such as libraries, gateway services, mobile platform support, observability, experimentation/analytics, and AI enablement—that help product and frontend teams ship reliably at scale.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain shared components, libraries, and common services using Next.js, TypeScript, and Chakra UI.
• Oversee and optimize Kong API Gateway services, including Lua scripting, and partner with Infrastructure on deployments.
• Contribute to cloud deployments across AWS, Netlify, and Jenkins to ensure secure, reliable performance.
• Build and support the mobile application ecosystem using React Native, improving platform reliability across customer-facing surfaces.
• Implement and improve monitoring/observability with Datadog for system health, visibility, and incident response.
• Develop experimentation and analytics capabilities to support engagement measurement, experimentation, and data-informed decisions using Statsig and Amplitude.
• Drive performance improvements across platform services and user-facing experiences by identifying bottlenecks and delivering optimizations.
• Support AI enablement by building shared tooling and patterns that help teams integrate AI capabilities safely and efficiently.

Requirements

• Strong TypeScript/React engineering skills.
• Experience building platform/shared services and enabling other teams.
• Ability to collaborate across Infrastructure, SRE, InfoSec, MarTech, and Frontend.

Nice to Have

• Experience with Kong API Gateway (Lua), Datadog, Statsig, Amplitude, and/or React Native.
• Familiarity with experimentation/analytics and performance engineering at scale.
