Senior Software Engineer, Platform/Backend

Role Overview

Senior Software Engineer, Platform/Backend at SentiLink. You will build and enhance the API platform that powers the company’s products, partnering with product, engineering, and security teams to deliver scalable, maintainable, and highly secure systems.

Responsibilities

• Own a large section of the codebase
• Lead technical direction for your team and ensure alignment with project goals and industry best practices
• Design and build API-based decisioning products
• Code, test, debug, document, and maintain platform and products using established standards and methodologies
• Partner with product management to drive agile delivery of existing and new products
• Ensure software quality via unit, dependency, integration, and end-to-end automated tests
• Troubleshoot and resolve production and product issues
• Help ensure platform/services meet SLA requirements, including participating in an on-call rotation

Requirements

• 6+ years of software development experience building enterprise or consumer-facing products
• Experience building API-based products using Python, Golang, or similar technologies
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills plus good interpersonal skills
• Familiarity with:
  • RDBMS (e.g., PostgreSQL) and writing efficient queries
  • Docker and AWS technologies
  • Fintech/financial services domain
  • Scrum/Agile development environment

• Experience with identity/risk or security-adjacent platforms (implied by the domain and security collaboration)
