About the role

Role Overview

Join AutogenAI as a Senior Software Engineer (Platform) on the Platform team. You’ll tackle application and developer infrastructure, improve the developer experience, and collaborate with engineering to deliver improvements with company-wide impact.

Key Missions

Improve application and development infrastructure to accelerate product development.
Participate in the migration of repositories to a monorepo, improving build times.
Help implement feature tooling to support development workflows.
Work with other engineering teams to identify and deliver improvements that benefit the broader organization.

Responsibilities

Build and maintain platform and infrastructure features.
Troubleshoot issues and continuously improve reliability and developer productivity.
Communicate effectively across teams, learn how other teams work, and propose ways to improve their lives.

Requirements

Backend-focused software engineering experience.
5+ years working on technical projects and shipping features.
Fluency in a programming language, ideally TypeScript or Python (flexible).
Proficiency with relational databases.
Some experience with platform infrastructure, with eagerness to upskill in:
- Kubernetes
- Helm charts
- Docker
- AWS commands (or equivalent cloud provider)
- Scripting
Strong ownership, initiative, and communication skills.

Nice-to-haves

Prior SRE/DevOps experience.
Eagerness to visit the NYC (Midtown) office periodically (not mandated, but a bonus).

Eligibility

US Citizens + background check (US-specific platform requirements).
