Role Overview

Join Piper Companies as a Remote Senior Software Engineer in a rapidly growing, mission-driven healthcare technology environment. You’ll design and develop full-stack applications and contribute to greenfield architecture, using AI-assisted development tools to accelerate delivery.

Responsibilities

Design and build scalable full-stack applications and platform services across web and backend systems
Develop AI-assisted engineering workflows to improve delivery speed, testing, and code quality
Contribute to architecture decisions, including:
- Microservices
- Event-driven systems
- Cloud infrastructure design
Strengthen SDLC practices, including:
- CI/CD pipelines
- Code reviews
- Performance optimization
- Security implementation
Partner with product and engineering stakeholders to deliver impactful solutions

Requirements

6+ years of experience in full-stack software engineering or building scalable distributed systems
Production experience with React, Node.js, Postgres, and AWS
Hands-on experience using AI tools daily to accelerate development workflows
Proven ability to design systems and perform in live coding and system design interview contexts
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or related field

Nice-to-Haves

Experience with microservices and event-driven system design (implied by architecture responsibilities)
