Role Overview
Senior Software Engineer at Parachute Health, building and maintaining a high-performing application that supports the company’s order management platform for home medical equipment and supplies.
Responsibilities
- Develop in an agile environment, using TDD and pair programming.
- Collaborate with product and design to shape application outcomes.
- Drive key technical decisions across application and data model design.
- Maintain stable and high-performance application stacks.
- Deliver quality code aligned with business goals.
- Lead a team in making technical decisions (within the engineering group).
- Participate in an on-call rotation; resolve critical issues and improve reliability and availability.
Requirements
- 5+ years of production experience.
- Strong experience with Ruby on Rails or other open-source languages (examples: Python, Golang, JavaScript).
- Must reside in the U.S.
Nice to Have
- Familiarity with AWS services (e.g., EC2, ECS, S3, RDS).
- Experience with healthcare technologies such as FHIR or HL7.

Compensation & Benefits
- Base salary: $165,000–$210,000 (Senior Engineer band; based on experience/level).
