Senior Software Engineer

Role Overview

Join Omada Health as a Senior Software Engineer to optimize contracting, eligibility, and billing processes and drive business outcomes. You’ll lead large projects, collaborate closely with product and business stakeholders, and apply AI/ML tooling to deliver innovative solutions.

Key Missions

• Build and integrate a combination of internal and purchased tools to improve contracting, eligibility, and billing workflows.
• Act as an informal team leader by continuously identifying improvements, mentoring others, and reducing ambiguity.
• Collaborate and influence cross-functional partners to shape the team’s future direction using your technical experience and research.

Responsibilities

• Lead large projects and guide technical decisions for delivery.
• Design solutions with stakeholders and work across service boundaries.
• Write quality software: maintain readable, tested, and efficient code.
• Debug and optimize systems; improve SDLC practices.
• Work empathetically with coworkers, stakeholders, and users, with a focus on member care.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience writing readable, tested, efficient code.
• Experience with a modern front-end framework: React or Vue.
• Experience with a modern back-end web framework: Rails or Python.
• Solid debugging and optimization skills.
• Familiarity with LLMs and GenAI best practices (for code and app features).
• Experience with relational databases such as PostgreSQL or MySQL.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills (verbal and written).
• Experience working with APIs supporting mobile applications.
• Expertise with SDLC processes and frameworks.
