Role overview
Senior Software Engineer, Mobile at Twin Health, reporting to the Engineering Director. You will build and improve consumer mobile and IoT experiences for metabolic health, partnering with other engineers to deliver high-quality apps and reliable solutions.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and improve software
- Build best-in-class fitness and wellness mobile apps
- Manage individual project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables
- Focus on product quality and user experience
- Take initiative and be responsible for technical solutions
- Mentor and coach new engineering hires and other software engineers
- Participate in additional responsibilities as needed, including on-call rotations
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or closely related field
- 3+ years experience building Android and/or iOS apps that integrate health sensors (e.g., CGMs, smartwatches, BP monitors, smart scales)
- 3+ years in Kotlin or Swift
- Strong proficiency with modern UI frameworks:
- Jetpack Compose (preferred) or
- SwiftUI (1+ years commercial experience preferred)
- 1+ year experience designing and implementing local databases with SQLite, including mobile-side caching
- Comfortable using AI coding assistants (e.g., Claude Code)
- Demonstrated engineering judgment focused on simple, readable, maintainable solutions and strong mobile/UX instincts
Nice to have
- Comfortable with wearing a CGM or other health sensors
