Role overview

Headspace is hiring a Senior Software Engineer, Mobile to join the Employer Solutions team within its B2B engineering organization. In this role, you will own the design, development, and delivery of scalable, high-quality mobile systems and features, integrating seamlessly with backend services.

What you will do

Own end-to-end feature delivery for the Headspace mobile app, focusing on enrollment and content experience.
Make and drive technical design decisions by collaborating with cross-functional teams to evaluate tradeoffs and feasibility.
Write and maintain high-quality, performant, scalable code following engineering best practices.
Ensure strong system quality through unit testing and end-to-end testing, covering edge cases.
Maintain clear technical documentation and contribute to engineering standards and quality management.
Provide technical guidance to peers through code reviews and knowledge sharing.
Stay current with industry trends, including evaluating emerging technologies such as AI-assisted development tools.
Shape the future of the mobile platform using expertise in mobile architecture and design patterns.

Requirements

5+ years delivering production mobile applications, owning features/systems from design through release.
2+ years native Android and/or iOS development with the respective SDKs.
2+ years hands-on development with Flutter, including familiarity with Flutter frameworks, third-party libraries, and APIs.
Strong expertise in mobile architecture and design patterns (e.g., MVC, MVVM).
Proficient with Git and essential mobile development tools.
Experience implementing testing strategies: unit, integration, and end-to-end.
Experience building/supporting data-driven or AI-enabled mobile features (e.g., personalization, experimentation, analytics-driven UX).
Ability to make independent technical decisions based on requirements and tradeoffs.
Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
