Senior Software Engineer - MetaMask (Ramps)

Role Overview

Senior Software Engineer on the MetaMask RAMPS team. You’ll own end-to-end feature delivery for the mission-critical fiat on/off-ramping surfaces that drive both onboarding and revenue-impacting experiences in MetaMask.

Responsibilities

• Own the full lifecycle of features/projects: technical design → launch → production monitoring
• Build and ship user-facing features in the React Native mobile application
• Contribute across the full stack:
  • React Native mobile frontend
  • Node.js backend APIs (NestJS)
  • shared TypeScript libraries
• Integrate third-party payment providers and financial services APIs
• Improve application performance, test coverage, and developer experience
• Onboard and mentor engineers via code reviews and pairing
• Identify and suggest areas of future work for the team
• Collaborate with Product, Design, QA, and Backend Engineering partners
• Participate in code reviews, sprint ceremonies, on-call rotations, and the hiring process
• Use AI-assisted development tools (e.g., Cursor, Claude Code, or equivalent) as part of daily workflow

Requirements

• 3+ years of software engineering experience (mobile or full-stack preferred)
• React Native proficiency (2+ years)
• TypeScript proficiency across frontend and backend
• Backend experience with Node.js (e.g., NestJS or Express)
• Web3 fundamentals (wallets, blockchain transactions, Ethereum ecosystem)
• Experience integrating third-party APIs, especially in payments or financial services
• Active, proficient use of AI-assisted development tools
