Senior Software Engineer

Role Overview

Senior / Staff Software Engineer (Full-Stack) to design, build, and scale production-grade systems for an AI-first platform that automates complex financial workflows. This is a remote role preferred for U.S. time zones, working on high-impact products for enterprise customers.

Responsibilities

• Design and build scalable, production-grade full-stack applications
• Architect and deploy AI-driven systems and workflows
• Develop and integrate third-party APIs and services
• Build reliable, observable, high-performance backend infrastructure
• Own projects end-to-end (design → deployment)
• Collaborate with product and engineering teams
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to engineering best practices

• Building AI-powered agents to automate operational workflows
• Integrating external APIs for data processing, compliance, and automation
• Developing distributed systems to improve scalability and reliability
• Enhancing infrastructure for observability and performance

Requirements

• 7+ years of software engineering experience (5+ at senior level)
• Proven track record shipping full-stack products end-to-end
• Strong expertise in TypeScript
• Modern web architecture experience: React, Node.js, GraphQL
• Experience scaling distributed systems in the cloud (AWS preferred)
• Strong understanding of relational database design and performance

Nice-to-Haves

• Background in high-growth startups or product-led tech companies
• Infrastructure-as-code experience (Terraform or similar)
• Familiarity with AI/ML product development (LLMs, evals, experimentation)
• SRE mindset (reliable, observable, low-maintenance systems)
• Experience with high-throughput, large-scale systems
