About the role
Role Overview
Senior Software Engineer, Infrastructure at Suave. You’ll build the connective layer that enables institutions to reach external networks from the infrastructure they already run, with correctness and auditability as primary requirements.
Responsibilities
- Design and build backend services for connectivity and settlement.
- Integrate with bank core, custody, and ledger systems, plus external networks chosen by institutions.
- Build reconciliation and audit-trail tooling suitable for examination.
- Own reliability and observability for the systems you ship.
- Partner with compliance to ensure transaction-path controls are implemented (not added as an afterthought).
Requirements
- 5+ years in backend or distributed systems.
- Correctness-first mindset in a high-reliability domain (payments, settlement, trading, or similar).
- Fluency in a modern typed language: Go, Rust, or TypeScript.
- Strong API and systems integration experience.
- Comfortable with on-call and production observability.
Nice to Have
- Payments, settlement, or custody systems.
- Crypto infrastructure.
- ISO 20022 or Swift.
