Senior Software Engineer (Remote - USA)

Impruvon is looking for a high-ownership, product-minded Senior Software Engineer to take end-to-end responsibility for key features and platform components across a full-stack ecosystem.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain features across the full stack (Ruby on Rails, React, Flutter) with end-to-end ownership (design → production).
• Partner with product/users to translate complex or ambiguous needs into intuitive, technically sound solutions.
• Drive architectural decisions independently and navigate ambiguity to solve impactful problems.
• Improve engineering culture by setting high standards, mentoring teammates, and simplifying processes as the team scales.
• Balance feature velocity with long-term system health by proactively addressing technical debt.
• Ensure reliability and performance of critical systems by owning production issues and implementing sustainable fixes.

Requirements

• 5+ years of software engineering experience, with a track record of owning features from conception to production.
• Product-first mindset: question requirements, identify gaps in user stories, and advocate for the best technical solution.
• Deep proficiency in Ruby on Rails.
• Strong relational database design and query optimization knowledge; understand architectural trade-offs.
• Maintainability and security focus, including healthcare/compliance considerations (e.g., HIPAA/SOC 2).
• Excellent written and verbal communication; strong asynchronous documentation skills in a remote-first team.
