About the role

Role Overview

Join a remote team building reliable back-end services for data-centric clinical and analytics applications. As a Senior Software Engineer, you will own production-ready microservices that support uptime, scale, and performance.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain cloud-based backend services and microservices for analytics and clinical data use cases
  • Convert product and technical requirements into production code using modern languages
  • Collaborate with PM/PO/architect partners to deliver features aligned with reliability and scale goals
  • Participate in Agile and DevOps practices, including CI/CD, code reviews, testing, and operational support
  • Perform root-cause analysis to diagnose and resolve complex production issues across application, data, and systems layers
  • Contribute to architecture discussions and mentor junior engineers by leading project components

Required Qualifications

  • BS in Computer Science/Engineering (or related) with 5+ years experience, or AS with 7+ years experience
  • 5+ years hands-on experience building services/applications using Go, Python, Java, or C# (C/C++ acceptable if recent service-building is demonstrated)
  • Experience with modern engineering practices: coding standards, pull request/code review, source control, and build/test/operations workflows
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills; ability to own deliverables with minimal guidance
  • Agile experience in iterative development cycles
  • Authorization to work in the United States (remote role)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Cloud platforms experience: AWS, GCP, or Azure
  • Familiarity with open-source technologies
  • Experience with data-heavy systems (databases, analytics/BI, big data, data warehousing)
  • Exposure to distributed systems focused on performance, availability, and scalability
  • Healthcare software exposure
