Senior Software Engineer - Hosted Web (Remote)

Role overview

You’ll join Hosted Web, a full-stack team at Mindbody/Playlist, building the customer-facing web experiences that enable booking and purchasing across high-traffic, revenue-critical studio properties.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain performant, reliable frontend systems and the server-side flows behind them.
• Partner with Product, Design, and Marketing from ideation through deployment, iterating with the end user in mind.
• Apply engineering best practices: automated testing, peer reviews, observability, and clean type-safe design.
• Influence and lead architecture decisions to keep a shared codebase scalable and simple.
• Debug production issues using real telemetry.
• Lead AI experimentation and innovation across workflows, teams, and tech stacks.
• Mentor others and help foster a collaborative, inclusive engineering culture.

Requirements

• 5+ years building and supporting large-scale, production web applications.
• Strong TypeScript and modern React knowledge, including React Server Components / server-first patterns.
• Deep experience with Next.js (App Router) or a comparable SSR/full-stack framework (server actions, data fetching, client/server boundaries).
• Experience designing/integrating APIs and working with microservice architecture, with ownership of both client and server code.
• Proficiency with .NET / C# and AWS.
• Solid foundation in SQL and relational databases.
• Strong testing instincts: unit and integration tests by default.
• Experience with observability tools (e.g., New Relic) to diagnose and resolve production issues.
• Agile mindset and comfort navigating the software development lifecycle.
• Ability to manage complexity, assess tradeoffs, and execute confidently.
• Excellent communication skills.

Nice to have / additional tools

• Experience with agentic development tools (e.g., Claude Code, Cursor, Codex).
• Familiarity with feature flagging & experimentation (e.g., LaunchDarkly) and analytics (Mixpanel/Google Analytics/Snowflake).
