Senior Software Engineer

Role overview

Design, build, and deploy production-ready Rust services end-to-end. You will evolve backend features across a cloud GraphQL API, contribute shared components, and extend peer-to-peer real-time/media architectures.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and deploy production services in Rust.
• Own and evolve features for a GraphQL API (schema, resolvers, queries, and migrations).
• Build and maintain asynchronous, concurrent systems with an emphasis on correctness and observability under load.
• Work across gRPC / Protobuf service boundaries while ensuring backwards compatibility.
• Contribute to foundational shared components with narrow, well-tested changes.
• Extend peer-to-peer systems, focusing on media transfer and real-time communication.

Requirements

• Strong Rust fundamentals: ownership, borrowing, lifetimes, traits, and error handling.
• Solid experience with async Rust using Tokio (or similar): tasks, channels, streams, and concurrency.
• Backend service/API experience: HTTP, GraphQL, and gRPC.
• Production experience with PostgreSQL: schema design and raw SQL.
• Authentication fundamentals: OAuth2, JWT, and RBAC.
• Proficiency with cloud-native workflows: Docker, CI/CD, and cloud infrastructure.
