About the role

Role Overview

As a Senior Software Engineer, you will design, develop, test, and maintain scalable backend services, APIs, and data pipelines in a fully remote engineering environment.

Responsibilities

Build and maintain scalable backend services, APIs, and data pipelines
Develop and orchestrate cloud-native applications
Mentor junior engineers and promote engineering best practices
Collaborate with cross-functional teams on technical design and implementation
Perform code reviews to ensure high-quality, maintainable, and secure code
Troubleshoot production issues and contribute to continuous system improvements

Requirements

5+ years of professional software development experience
Strong Java experience with extensive Spring Framework expertise, including:
- Spring Boot
- Spring MVC
- Spring Data JPA
- Spring Security
Deep knowledge of PostgreSQL, including PostGIS for geospatial processing
Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes
Experience with cloud platforms, preferably AWS
Ability to design and develop RESTful APIs and microservices

Nice-to-Haves

Experience working on complex geospatial applications and large-scale distributed systems
