About the role

Role Overview

As a Senior Software Engineer, you will design, build, and maintain scalable backend services, APIs, and data pipelines within a modern, fully remote engineering culture.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable backend services, APIs, and data pipelines
Build and orchestrate cloud-native applications using modern backend technologies
Mentor junior engineers and drive engineering best practices
Collaborate with cross-functional teams on technical design and implementation
Perform code reviews to ensure high-quality, maintainable, and secure code
Troubleshoot production issues and contribute to continuous system improvements

Requirements

5+ years of professional software development experience
Strong Java experience with extensive Spring Framework expertise, including:
- Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Data JPA, Spring Security
Deep knowledge of PostgreSQL, including PostGIS for geospatial processing
Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes
Experience with cloud platforms, preferably AWS
Proven ability to design and develop RESTful APIs and microservices

Nice to Have

Exposure to complex geospatial applications and distributed systems (implied by role focus)
