Senior Software Engineer

Role overview

Senior/Staff Software Engineer (AI Product) for a remote role in the United States. You will build polished, customer-facing AI features (not a backend AI research role) and lead initiatives end-to-end at a staff level.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and delivery of customer-facing AI-powered features (e.g., copilots, assistants, summaries, intelligent workflows)
• Own initiatives end-to-end: from concept and UX design through production deployment and iteration
• Build high-quality frontend experiences that make AI accessible to non-technical users
• Architect and implement full-stack systems connecting frontend, backend, and AI services
• Establish best practices for AI product UX, performance, and reliability at scale
• Serve as a technical leader, guiding architecture decisions and mentoring engineers
• Collaborate closely with product and design to translate AI capabilities into usable interfaces

Requirements

• 7+ years of software engineering experience with Staff-level scope and ownership
• Proven track record of leading initiatives or owning products end-to-end
• Frontend-leaning background (or full-stack with strong frontend expertise)
• Experience shipping user-facing applications
• Hands-on experience integrating AI into products, including LLMs and AI feature patterns
• Strong product mindset and ability to translate complex AI into intuitive UX
• Experience partnering with design and product teams and working in ambiguity

Tech stack (core)

• TypeScript, React / Next.js
• Node.js, serverless backends
• AWS (or similar) cloud infrastructure
• LLM platforms (e.g., OpenAI, Anthropic, Bedrock)
• RAG pipelines and modern AI SDKs

Compensation

• $225,000–$280,000 base + bonus + benefits (United States)
