Senior Software Engineer

Role: Senior Software Engineer

Own features and systems that power the landlord experience—spanning listing management, payments, and landlord tools. Contribute not only through building, but also by helping shape technical approaches to business goals and driving work from idea through delivery.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, development, and deployment of high-quality software across the full stack, with a primary focus on front-end architecture and user-facing experiences
• Make architectural decisions for front-end systems (e.g., component architecture, design systems, state management patterns)
• Collaborate on API design and cloud infrastructure as needed
• Partner with product managers and designers to deliver intuitive, performant, and accessible UX
• Improve engineering quality through testing (unit, integration, end-to-end) and development process enhancements
• Use AI-assisted development tools and share best practices for effective AI usage
• Mentor junior and mid-level engineers and promote front-end and full-stack best practices
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and maintain production systems with emphasis on frontend performance and client-side reliability

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional software development experience
• Strong background building and scaling front-end systems and full-stack applications
• Proficiency in modern JavaScript/TypeScript and frontend frameworks (React, Vue, or Angular)
• Team experience making frontend architecture/tooling decisions
• Experience with A/B experiments, feature flagging, and gradual rollouts
• Comfort with AI-powered development tools in daily workflows
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent communication and collaboration across engineering, design, and product
• Prior startup experience

Nice-to-haves

• Familiarity with Next.js and Node.js
