Senior Software Engineer - Fullstack, US Remote

Role overview

Brigit is seeking Senior Fullstack Software Engineers to help scale its next-generation consumer finance platform to millions of users. The team focuses on building features across internal/external applications while improving the efficiency, reliability, and scalability of both customer-facing and internal tools.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end feature development across both frontend and backend.
• Contribute to the next-generation product, including:
  • Implementing new user flows
  • Integrating 3rd-party APIs
  • Building/serving data and handling traffic at scale
  • Supporting compute of proprietary algorithms
• Work on scalability and reliability improvements for customer and internal systems.
• Develop user-facing and platform capabilities, such as:
  • Components and libraries
  • GraphQL API design
  • Testing and QA processes
  • CI/CD enhancements
• Tackle data engineering tasks, automation, and availability/monitoring problems.
• Maintain and improve payment, notification, and internal tooling systems.

Requirements

• Experience owning features from start to finish on both frontend and backend.
• Strong comfort with overlap in the stack (frontend/backend), even if not every engineer knows every technology.
• Ability to work in a fast-moving, small, nimble team with high autonomy and ownership.

Nice to have / preferred

• NYC-based candidates able to work in the office 2–3 days/week (remote candidates also considered).
• Experience designing and operating API-driven systems (including GraphQL), and improving CI/CD and testing/QA.
