About the role

Role Overview

Senior Full Stack Engineer on the Imaging team at Function Health. You will architect, build, and scale web platforms that power the company’s cancer-screening experience, acting as a technical leader who mentors engineers and drives best practices.

Responsibilities

  • Build full-stack solutions end-to-end, from customer-facing UI to database query optimization and cross-layer ownership.
  • Lead design and delivery of features across the stack with a focus on high-performance ASP.NET Core services.
  • Architect clean, maintainable, and secure APIs integrating with EMRs, imaging partners, and AI services.
  • Mentor and coach engineers via code reviews, pair programming, and design sessions.
  • Collaborate with product, design, and clinical teams to deliver intuitive experiences across desktop, tablet, and mobile.
  • Own quality by defining automated test strategies (unit, integration, e2e) and champion CI/CD and DevOps.
  • Drive continuous improvement through performance tuning and observability.
  • Shape the technical roadmap and contribute to development planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives (Agile).

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
  • 6+ years building production systems in ASP.NET Core / C#.
  • Production full-stack experience with modern JavaScript/TypeScript frontends and ASP.NET Core backends.
  • Experience with microservices, RESTful APIs, and event-driven systems; strong data modeling and domain boundary design.
  • Azure (or AWS/GCP) deployment/operations experience using IaC, containerization (Docker/Kubernetes), pipelines, and monitoring.
  • Deep experience with SQL Server.
  • Automated testing proficiency (xUnit/NUnit/Jest/Playwright) and clean code standards.
  • Proven mentoring/leadership experience and strong written/verbal communication.
