Role overview
As a Senior Software Engineer (Fullstack) at Flock Safety (fully remote), you will lead frontend architecture, build responsive web applications, and help engineer low-latency, high-definition live video interfaces. You’ll work closely with product, design, and backend engineering to deliver user-centric video capabilities.
Key missions
- Architect and execute frontend web applications using React, TypeScript, and Node.js for Flock’s custom Video Management Software
- Build low-latency, interactive live video playback features and real-time alert dashboards across client platforms
- Collaborate cross-functionally with product, design, and backend teams to deliver user-centric video experiences
Requirements
- Strong ability to diagnose and implement UI performance optimizations in data-heavy, real-time web applications
- Practical understanding of web API design and client-server communication
- Demonstrated frontend experience with deep mastery of React, TypeScript, and Node.js web services
- Resourceful problem-solving mindset and commitment to continuous learning in a fast-paced environment
Nice to have
- Working familiarity with cloud tooling and containerized services using AWS, Docker, or Kubernetes
