Senior Software Engineer, Full-Stack

Role overview

As a Senior Software Engineer (Full-Stack), you will scale the core services powering Roger’s AI platform and build new Generative AI / LLM-driven workflows that clinicians rely on daily.

Responsibilities

• Ship complex backend services using FastAPI and MongoDB/Postgres
• Build and maintain APIs and infrastructure that interface with LLMs and Generative AI models
• Use AI-assisted development tools to accelerate high-quality engineering output
• Prototype MVPs and harden them into scalable, secure, and reliable production systems
• Improve backend architecture, observability, and code quality standards
• Deploy services to production using Docker and AWS
• Collaborate with senior engineers and mentor junior developers

Requirements

• 7+ years of professional software engineering experience with deep backend expertise
• Startup experience shipping real features in high-growth environments
• Experience designing distributed systems or data-heavy backend architectures
• Experience working with Generative AI / LLM-powered systems in production, or strong desire to do so
• Product mindset and comfort partnering cross-functionally
• Ability to operate in ambiguity and move quickly without sacrificing quality
• High standards for reliability, clarity, and maintainability
