Senior Software Engineer, Full Stack (Node, React)

Role overview

Senior Full Stack Software Engineer (Node, React) for a mission-critical product used in real-world athlete health and performance workflows. You’ll work on both frontend and backend systems in a collaborative environment focused on ownership, reliability, and thoughtful system design.

Responsibilities

• Own full lifecycle feature delivery across the stack: technical design, implementation, deployment, monitoring, and iteration.
• Build and maintain scalable full-stack applications with Node.js, React, and TypeScript, emphasizing reliability and maintainability.
• Design and evolve REST APIs and participate in data modeling decisions using PostgreSQL.
• Participate in code reviews and technical discussions to improve engineering quality and consistency.
• Collaborate with product and design teams to translate complex operational workflows into intuitive software.
• Investigate, refactor, and improve existing (including legacy) systems; solve problems independently in ambiguous environments.
• Contribute to frontend architecture, including microfrontend patterns and shared component strategies where applicable.

Requirements

• 6+ years of professional software engineering experience delivering complex full-stack applications.
• Strong expertise in JavaScript/TypeScript, with hands-on React and Node.js experience.
• Solid experience with PostgreSQL, including query optimization and data model design.
• Experience designing and building scalable APIs using REST and/or GraphQL.
• Strong testing discipline with automated testing integrated into development workflows.
• Experience in distributed systems or complex production SaaS environments is highly valued.
• Ability to work independently in ambiguous/undocumented systems while communicating clearly across teams.
