Senior Software Engineer (Full Stack)

Role overview

Senior Software Engineer (Full Stack) — foundational hire in a privately funded, early-stage startup. You will provide technical leadership and own the product lifecycle, from architecture through deployment and ongoing sustainment.

Responsibilities

• End-to-end ownership across the full stack (feature development, maintenance, and ensuring high availability)
• Infrastructure & DevOps: manage AWS services and IAM (Cognito), improve CI/CD with GitHub Actions, and provision infrastructure using CloudFormation/CDK
• Technical strategy: research solutions, build PoCs, and keep tools, technologies, and security posture current
• Support & stability: provide L3/L4 support and respond quickly to production issues
• Collaboration: translate business requirements into high-quality deliverables through frequent stakeholder communication

Requirements

Core stack / skills

• Frontend: React, TypeScript, SCSS
• Backend: Node.js, NestJS, Python (strong plus)
• Data: PostgreSQL, Redis, DynamoDB
• Cloud: AWS, CDK
• Search: Elasticsearch, Solr, or OpenSearch (strong plus)
• Mobile: Android experience (Kotlin preferred)
• Integrations: Shopify and Zoho (Deluge scripting) highly valued

System/engineering requirements

• Strong full-stack system design and system integration experience
• Understanding of HTTP and REST API design
• Deep cloud-native experience with AWS, Docker (Compose), and Linux
• Comfort using AI coding assistants (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Claude Code)
• Advanced git skills

• Russian
• Strong experience with the search and e-commerce/CRM integrations noted above
