About the role

Role Overview

Senior Software Engineer (Full Stack) — foundational technical leadership hire for a privately funded startup. You’ll own the product lifecycle end-to-end, from architectural decisions through deployment and ongoing sustainment.

Responsibilities

End-to-end ownership across the full stack: deliver new features, maintain the existing codebase, and ensure high availability
Infrastructure & DevOps: manage AWS services and IAM (Cognito); improve CI/CD using GitHub Actions; provision infrastructure as code with CloudFormation/CDK
Technical strategy: research solutions, build PoCs, and keep the engineering stack current while maintaining a strong security posture
Support & stability: provide L3/L4 support and address production issues promptly
Collaboration with stakeholders: translate business requirements into high-quality engineering deliverables

Requirements

Full-stack system design with strong experience in system integration
Strong understanding of HTTP and REST API design / networking standards
Cloud-native expertise with AWS, Docker (Compose), and Linux environments
Comfort using AI coding assistants (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Claude Code) for faster development and refactoring
Advanced Git usage is required

Tech Stack (Highlights)

Frontend: React, TypeScript, SCSS
Backend: Node.js, NestJS, Python
Data: PostgreSQL, Redis, DynamoDB
Cloud/Search: AWS, CDK, plus Elasticsearch/Solr/OpenSearch (strong)
Mobile: Android experience (Kotlin preferred)
Integrations: Shopify (e-commerce) and Zoho CRM/Deluge scripting (highly valued)

Nice to Have

Android/Kotlin experience
Shopify + Zoho integration experience
Russian language skills
