About the role

Role Overview

Senior Software Engineer (Full Stack) — foundational technical hire for a privately funded startup.

Responsibilities

End-to-end ownership across the full stack: develop new features, maintain the existing codebase, and help ensure high availability.
Infrastructure & DevOps: manage AWS services and IAM (Cognito), improve CI/CD using GitHub Actions, and provision infrastructure with CloudFormation/CDK.
Technical strategy: research solutions, build PoCs, and keep the stack current with a strong security posture.
Support & stability: provide L3/L4 technical support and promptly address production issues.
Collaboration: communicate with business stakeholders to translate requirements into high-quality deliverables.

Requirements

Full-stack/system design: strong experience designing and integrating systems; solid understanding of HTTP and REST API design and networking standards.
Cloud-native: deep expertise in AWS, Docker (Compose), and Linux environments.
AI-enhanced workflow: comfortable using AI coding assistants (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Claude Code) for development and refactoring.
Version control: advanced Git skills required.

Frontend: React, TypeScript, SCSS
Backend: Node.js, NestJS, Python
Data: PostgreSQL, Redis, DynamoDB
Cloud/Search: AWS, CDK; Elasticsearch / Solr / OpenSearch (strong plus)
Mobile: Android experience (Kotlin preferred)
Integrations: Shopify and Zoho (CRM/Deluge scripting) highly valued
