Senior Software Engineer-Frontend

Role Overview

As a Senior Software Engineer (Frontend), you will help develop and enhance Scout Motors’ digital products from concept through deployment. You’ll work with cross-functional teams to build intuitive, performant, and accessible web interfaces, primarily for internal tools supporting commercial operations and enterprise workflows.

Responsibilities

• Ship high-quality internal web applications in collaboration with engineers and technical leaders.
• Lead architecture, design, and development of complex front-end systems with a focus on maintainability, scalability, reliability, and performance.
• Partner with product managers, designers, and stakeholders to translate requirements into technical specifications and UX-friendly implementations.
• Build and evolve shared UI components and patterns (i.e., design system), including accessibility standards and consistent interaction/visual quality.
• Integrate front-end apps with back-end services and identity/SSO systems for secure authentication and authorization.
• Apply front-end best practices including code reviews, testing, documentation, and CI/CD.
• Mentor and coach junior engineers.
• Stay current with emerging technologies and improve the team’s development process.

Requirements

• Strong experience designing and delivering complex front-end systems.
• Ability to ensure accessibility, maintainability, scalability, and performance.
• Experience integrating with back-end services and identity systems (e.g., SSO).
• Proven practices in code reviews, testing, documentation, and CI/CD.
• Ability to mentor/lead other engineers.

Nice-to-Haves

• Experience building core UI frameworks and shared component libraries / design systems.
• Experience with enterprise workflows and internal tooling.
