About the role

Role Overview

Join Close as a Senior Software Engineer (Frontend/React) in one of six cross-functional product development teams. You’ll work closely with Frontend/Backend engineers, Product Managers, Designers, and other stakeholders to deliver customer-facing initiatives.

Responsibilities

Design, build, and launch new user-facing features end-to-end
Implement and ship AI-powered features to support daily customer workflows
Improve calling and SMS experiences using Twilio APIs, WebSockets, and WebRTC
Build user-facing analytics and insight features based on sales activity data
Enhance the web app with near real-time updates using GraphQL Subscriptions
Improve real-time collaboration user experiences
Expand frontend usage of GraphQL and extend the React component library

Requirements

Experience building modern frontend single-page applications with JavaScript, HTML, and CSS
Comfortable operating in a fast-paced environment with a small distributed team
Strong communication and collaboration skills
Ability to manage time effectively in a fully remote setup
For Senior level (per the posting): 5+ years frontend experience (at least partially specified; text cuts off after “with at least 3…”)

Nice to Have (from stack/role context)

Strong React + TypeScript experience
Experience with Vite, Vitest, React Testing Library, Playwright, and Chromatic
Familiarity with performance and maintainability practices (e.g., route-based code splitting, skeleton UI)
Exposure to design-system development using Storybook and Figma-driven workflows
