Senior Software Engineer - Frontend Platform

Role Overview

Hudl is hiring a Senior Software Engineer – Frontend Platform to expand and standardize its front-end platform. You’ll build a robust, performant, maintainable, scalable, accessible, and secure foundation that accelerates web development for Hudl’s product teams and improves the experience for millions of sports fans.

Responsibilities

• Expand the Front-End Platform: drive discovery work, documentation, design reviews, and implementations.
• Build Front-End Infrastructure: apply AWS and Terraform skills to design and maintain front-end infrastructure (e.g., CDN for a Jamstack app and infrastructure for server-side rendering).
• Consult and Support Teams: answer questions, review pull requests, participate in design reviews, and provide feedback on project plans.

Must-Haves

• Extensive front-end experience building with TypeScript and React.
• Experience leading or playing a key role in large-scale web applications.
• Familiarity with design systems and how they support consistency, intuitiveness, and accessibility.
• Strong communication (verbal and written) for alignment, presentations, and technical discussions.
• A vision-oriented mindset focused on enabling other product teams.

Nice-to-Haves

• Experience with Jamstack, component-driven development, micro-frontends, and monorepos.
• Hands-on experience with tools such as Playwright, Storybook, Chromatic, and Turborepo.
• Experience with front-end infrastructure using AWS and Terraform, including mentoring others to expand Jamstack/SSR capabilities.
• Demonstrated commitment to mentorship.
