About the role

Role Overview

Senior Frontend Engineer at Paperless Post to build rich, polished consumer experiences. You will drive frontend architecture decisions and partner closely with product and design in feature teams.

Responsibilities

Drive frontend architecture decisions for user-facing experiences
Collaborate with product and design within deeply collaborative feature teams
Influence and articulate technical decisions across teams
Mentor engineers and support constructive feedback and communication
Build features with a focus on end-user problem solving and quality
Contribute to technical execution while leveraging AI tooling to accelerate work

Requirements

6+ years of experience developing for web or mobile platforms in established codebases
Expert-level fluency orchestrating agentic AI workflows using tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, or Copilot
Strong critical thinking and ability to influence architecture
Collaborative mindset and clear communication
Strong frontend fundamentals: HTML, CSS, responsive layouts, and accessibility best practices
TypeScript & React expertise, plus proficiency in GraphQL
Familiarity with Next.js and SSR concepts
Experience maintaining CI/CD pipelines, including CircleCI
Testing expertise with unit and end-to-end tests (e.g., Cypress, Jest, Testim, Detox)

Nice to Have / A Plus

Hands-on React Native experience shipping features
Experience with Go, Ruby on Rails, Node.js, or similar backend/runtime technologies

AI Note

Teams are encouraged to use AI tools (e.g., Claude, ChatGPT, Copilot) to move faster and think creatively; interviews may use AI-powered note-taking tools.
