About the role

Role overview

Senior Software Engineer, Frontend Engineering at Maven Clinic, joining a full-stack product engineering team. You’ll build human-centered web experiences that drive enrollment and product adoption for the Maven Clinic app.

Responsibilities

Develop and implement responsive, accessible, and performance-optimized web (and potentially mobile) applications.
Use HTML, CSS, JavaScript, TypeScript, React and other frontend technologies.
Use Node.js to support frontend architecture, tooling, and server-side rendering for scalable web apps.
Collaborate with backend engineers to integrate frontend components with backend APIs and services.
Partner with product managers, designers, and stakeholders to translate user needs into technical specifications.
Ensure frontend security, scalability, and performance.
Test, debug, and maintain high-quality code (including documentation and knowledge base contributions).
Participate in code reviews, pair programming, and other collaborative practices.
Support the company mission and culture through diversity and inclusion and teamwork.

Requirements (Minimum qualifications)

5+ years of professional frontend web development experience.
Strong proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, TypeScript and modern frameworks such as React (or Vue.js).
Experience with responsive design and mobile-first development.
Experience with web performance optimization and web accessibility.
Experience with unit testing (e.g., Jest) and automated testing frameworks (e.g., Selenium or Cypress).
Proficiency with Git.
Experience working in Agile environments.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
