About the role

Role Overview

Senior Software Engineer, Frontend on the Tooling team within Docker’s Support organization. You’ll build customer-facing front-end applications and workflows that help enterprise users succeed with Docker at scale, including systems that support managing, governing, and observing Docker deployments.

Responsibilities

Lead or contribute to frontend design and architectural improvements that increase reliability and consistency in Docker App
Work across teams to guide migrations and collaborate on technical implementation
Write, review, maintain, and document JavaScript/TypeScript code
Establish and enforce frontend best practices
Build and maintain unit, integration, and e2e tests
Deploy to production and own the product throughout its lifecycle
Demonstrate open collaboration and support internal engineering needs
Participate in an on-call rotation as needed (evenings/weekends/holidays)
Lead a frontend community of practice and participate in tech initiatives

Requirements

7+ years experience building SaaS applications
5+ years with JavaScript
3+ years with React, ideally with static typing (TypeScript or Flow)
1+ years experience writing backends or working closely with backend engineers (a plus)
Knowledge of security best practices
Strong verbal and written English communication
Ability and interest in working on a fully remote team across international time zones

Nice to Have

Experience with design systems and Storybook
Cloud experience (AWS preferred, or GCP/Azure)
Database experience (Postgres preferred, or MySQL)
Demonstrated proactive collaboration beyond the written job description
