About the role

Role Overview

Senior Software Engineer (Frontend) at Customer.io, building product experiences for core customer workflows. You’ll own end-to-end problems, design delightful and accessible UIs, and help improve frontend architecture and the design system.

Responsibilities

Build high-quality, accessible UIs in React and Ember for core user workflows
Collaborate with engineers and designers to ship new features
Continuously improve the design system and frontend architecture for performance and scalability
Share knowledge and raise the team bar through public progress/sharing
Use AI tools to prototype quickly and make better decisions

Requirements

7+ years of frontend experience building complex applications
Strong fundamentals in JavaScript, HTML, and CSS
Fluency with React (experience with Ember.js is a plus; openness to learning Ember required)
Care for polish, performance, accessibility, and overall user experience
Product thinking and understanding how code fits into the bigger picture
Bias for action and pride in owning technical decisions

Compensation & Benefits

$150,000–$200,000 USD starting salary (based on experience and market rate)
