About the role

Role Overview

Senior Software Engineer (Frontend) at Customer.io, building product experiences for core customer workflows. You’ll own end-to-end problems, design delightful and accessible UIs, and help improve frontend architecture and the design system.

Responsibilities

  • Build high-quality, accessible UIs in React and Ember for core user workflows
  • Collaborate with engineers and designers to ship new features
  • Continuously improve the design system and frontend architecture for performance and scalability
  • Share knowledge and raise the team bar through public progress/sharing
  • Use AI tools to prototype quickly and make better decisions

Requirements

  • 7+ years of frontend experience building complex applications
  • Strong fundamentals in JavaScript, HTML, and CSS
  • Fluency with React (experience with Ember.js is a plus; openness to learning Ember required)
  • Care for polish, performance, accessibility, and overall user experience
  • Product thinking and understanding how code fits into the bigger picture
  • Bias for action and pride in owning technical decisions

Nice to Haves

  • Experience with Ember.js

Compensation & Benefits

  • $150,000–$200,000 USD starting salary (based on experience and market rate)
