Senior Software Engineer - Frontend (Core UX / Product Team)

Role overview

Senior Software Engineer (Frontend) on PandaDoc’s Core UX Product Team within the Application Platform track. You’ll design, build, and deliver core web application features, working end-to-end with Product Managers and Designers and contributing to architecture and engineering efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to define requirements and deliver scalable, maintainable frontend solutions.
• Build, test, and deploy high-quality frontend features using React and the JavaScript/TypeScript ecosystem.
• Work across monolithic and microfrontend architectures; build modular and reusable components/workflows.
• Ensure robust observability and monitoring (proactively identify and address issues) using tools such as Sentry and Grafana.
• Participate in on-call support rotations to maintain system stability and performance.
• Drive technical initiatives to improve codebase health, developer experience, and frontend best practices.
• Mentor team members, provide constructive feedback, and promote knowledge sharing.

• Deliver reusable components and workflows that power PandaDoc’s core functionality.
• Partner with Design Systems and Frontend Platform teams to maintain consistency and scalability.
• Drive frontend best practices across teams, including accessibility, observability, and performance.
• Improve developer experience and tooling for faster, safer feature delivery.

Requirements

• 5+ years of hands-on frontend development experience building web applications.
• Strong expertise in JavaScript and TypeScript; scalable state management; CSS-in-JS; React ecosystem.
• Experience with both monolithic and microfrontend architectures.
• Familiarity with observability tools and on-call support practices.
• Proven ability to deliver product-facing features end-to-end.
• Comfortable challenging solutions and participating in architecture discussions.
• Strong collaboration and communication with designers, product managers, and platform engineers.

Nice-to-haves / additional details

• Experience with shared component libraries, design systems, and modular frontend frameworks.
• Exposure to frontend performance monitoring and optimization.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines for web applications.
