Senior Software Engineer - Frontend (Core UX / Product Team)

Role Overview

PandaDoc is hiring a Senior Software Engineer (Frontend) for the Core UX Product Team within the Application Platform. You’ll work in a cross-functional environment to design, build, and deliver core web application features end-to-end, from requirements with Product Managers and Designers through release and post-release support.

Core UX (What You’ll Work On)

Core UX is responsible for making PandaDoc’s frontend experience consistent, performant, and intuitive. The team focuses on reusable components/workflows, design system alignment, and frontend best practices across product teams.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with product and design stakeholders to define requirements and deliver scalable, maintainable frontend solutions.
• Build, test, and deploy frontend features using React, JavaScript, TypeScript, and shared libraries.
• Work across monolithic and microfrontend architectures, contributing to modularization and reusable components.
• Ensure strong observability/monitoring (e.g., Sentry, Grafana) and proactively address issues.
• Participate in on-call rotation to maintain stability and performance.
• Drive technical initiatives to improve code health, developer experience, and engineering best practices.
• Mentor teammates and promote knowledge sharing.

Requirements

• 5+ years of hands-on frontend development building web applications.
• Strong expertise in JavaScript and TypeScript, including scalable state management, CSS-in-JS, and the React ecosystem.
• Experience with monolithic and microfrontend architectures.
• Familiarity with observability tools and on-call practices.
• Proven ability to deliver product-facing features end-to-end.
• Strong communication and collaboration with designers, product managers, and platform engineers.
• Customer-focused mindset balancing technical excellence with practical delivery.

Nice to Have / Additional Signals

• Experience with shared component libraries, design systems, and modular frontend frameworks.
• Exposure to performance monitoring and optimization.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines.
