About the role
Role overview
Kin is seeking a Senior Software Engineer (Front-End focus) to own and scale key areas of Kin’s in-house web applications. You’ll build modern, high-performance user experiences with Angular and Web Components (Lit), influence architecture, and mentor other engineers in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and deliver complex front-end features using TypeScript, Angular (2+), Lit, HTML, and SCSS
- Build scalable UI solutions and reusable component libraries with Web Components
- Integrate front-end applications with APIs, including defining front-end contracts and collaborating on API design
- Improve performance, accessibility, and UX across applications
- Lead pair programming, code reviews, and technical design discussions
- Champion engineering best practices: documentation, testing, CI/CD, architecture, and maintainable UI patterns
- Mentor junior engineers with technical guidance and modeling strong engineering habits
- Identify systemic technical debt and propose practical, high-leverage improvements
- Collaborate cross-functionally with product, design, and backend to deliver end-to-end solutions
