About the role

Role overview

Senior Front-End Software Engineer (CX Apps) on Collectors’ Customer Experience engineering teams, building customer-facing digital products across web (and mobile surfaces) that connect collectors to discovery, submissions, order tracking, account management, and marketplace experiences.

Responsibilities

Deliver features end-to-end across the full software development lifecycle (concept → production)
Lead front-end application development using modern web technologies
Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and partner teams to translate business requirements into clean technical designs (frontend and backend systems)
Troubleshoot data, integration, service, and UI issues in a distributed codebase
Develop and execute unit and integration tests
Contribute to technical documentation to improve maintainability and team velocity
Leverage AI tooling (preferred: Claude) to accelerate design/architecture/implementation while maintaining strong engineering judgment and code quality

Requirements

5+ years of software engineering experience building consumer-facing web applications
Strong modern front-end development expertise and engineering judgment

Nice to have / additional signals

Comfort operating in ambiguity and improving systems iteratively
Strong focus on code quality, usability, and maintainable architecture
On-site collaboration expected for candidates within ~1-hour commuting distance of the office (most of the time); additional details during recruiting process
