Join Sentry as a Senior Software Engineer on the JavaScript SDK team. You’ll work on SDKs for modern JavaScript frameworks, with end-to-end ownership of projects and opportunities to contribute to the open-source community.
Responsibilities
- Drive SDK innovation and improvements across a wide range of modern JavaScript frameworks
- Own the full development lifecycle: planning → implementation → tests → documentation
- Collaborate with the open-source community and represent the company in influential groups
- Help evolve JavaScript standards and community practices
- Use AI tools to enhance productivity
Requirements
- Deep expertise building web applications, libraries, or SDKs with TypeScript/JavaScript
- 5+ years as a software engineer / web developer
- Hands-on experience with two or more modern JavaScript frameworks, such as:
- React, Next.js, Vue, Nuxt, NestJS, Hono
- Strong understanding of framework differences (e.g., rendering models, lifecycles, runtime environments)
- Familiarity with edge runtimes, server components, or hybrid rendering patterns
- Strong English written and verbal communication skills
- History of contributing to or maintaining open-source libraries
- Experience participating in open-source committees or working groups

- Engagement with open-source committees and working groups (explicitly called out)
- Experience across additional frameworks beyond the required two
