About the role

Role Overview

Join Aledade’s AI Enablement team as a Senior Software Engineer (Forward Deployed AI). You will embed with a Product, Tech, and Analytics (PTA) cohort to accelerate AI adoption by building tailored AI plugins/skills and integrating tools via the MCP Gateway. You’ll also contribute to the broader platform team and help maintain adoption health.

Key Missions

Embed with a PTA cohort to unblock and facilitate AI tool adoption.
Develop and ship AI artifacts such as plugins, skills, hooks, and connectors tailored to the cohort’s workflows.
Generalize cohort-specific work into reusable plugins, templates, and patterns published to the Claude Code Plugin Marketplace.
Contribute to platform efforts and support AI adoption health.

Responsibilities / What You’ll Do

Build end-to-end solutions that support AI enablement across product, tech, and analytics workflows.
Ship into unfamiliar codebases and translate work into documentation, runbooks, and educational materials.
Integrate external tools through gateways and auth flows as needed to enable secure connectivity.

Requirements

Production experience with a modern application stack (e.g., Python, TypeScript/Node, Go, or similar) and modern CI/CD.
Hands-on production/near-production experience with agentic coding tools (e.g., Claude Code, Cursor, Cody, Copilot agents, Aider, or equivalent).
Strong written communication: create documentation, runbooks, and educational artifacts.
Ability to ship end-to-end in unfamiliar codebases (e.g., forward-deployed/solutions/platform-adjacent experience).
3+ years professional software engineering experience.
BS/BTech or higher in Computer Science/Engineering or related field.
Experience authoring or maintaining MCP (Model Context Protocol) servers and/or Claude Code plugins/skills/hooks or comparable LLM-tool integrations.
Familiarity with tool integration via API gateways, OAuth/M2M flows, or service meshes.

Nice to Have

Background in healthcare technology, HIPAA-regulated environments, or PHI-handling systems.
Prior FDE/customer-facing engineering, solutions architect, or TPM-with-IC experience.
Familiarity with Aledade’s stack: Python/FastAPI, Vue/TypeScript, PostgreSQL, AWS, Auth0, Datadog, Sumo Logic.
Comfortable operating across the full stack (frontend/backend/infra) since boundaries won’t apply.
