Role Overview
Senior Software Engineer (Dataplane) at Alteryx. Full-stack engineering role building the foundation of Alteryx’s next-generation cloud platform, with primary focus on backend development.
Responsibilities
- Build scalable services, APIs, and distributed systems primarily using Go.
- Develop and operate production cloud applications on AWS or GCP.
- Use modern cloud-native technologies such as Kubernetes, Docker, Helm, and Terraform.
- Improve engineering practices with the team, including testing, CI/CD pipelines, and continuous integration.
- Troubleshoot issues across application code, cloud infrastructure, and production environments.
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional software development experience.
- Strong backend experience with Go, REST APIs, and distributed systems.
- Frontend experience with React and TypeScript/JavaScript (or similar frameworks).
- Experience with testing, CI/CD pipelines, Git, and modern development practices.
- Ability to troubleshoot across code and production cloud environments.
- Experience developing and operating production cloud applications on AWS or GCP.
- Familiarity with microservices and cloud-native application design.
Nice-to-haves / Additional Skills
- Kubernetes, Docker, Helm, Terraform and/or Infrastructure as Code.
- Messaging technologies such as Kafka, Redis, or Pub/Sub.
- Cloud provisioning, orchestration, or platform management systems.
- Observability/monitoring and distributed tracing.
- System architecture, technical design, and engineering best practices.
- Multi-tenant SaaS platforms and/or workflow orchestration.
