About the role
Role: Senior Software Engineer (Staff/Lead possible)
Remote (United States) — SaaS, VC-backed startup (3D graphics).
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain full-stack features across UI, APIs, business logic, and data models.
- Design and implement rule engines for pricing, inventory, availability, and constraint logic.
- Architect extensible, maintainable systems that scale with growing product complexity.
- Build configuration and customization experiences where users navigate interdependent constraints.
- Develop complex search, filtering, and querying systems for large datasets.
- Bridge visual/design tools with underlying data and business logic layers.
- Write tests to handle worst-case corner cases.
- Collaborate with QA, DevOps, Product Management, Product Design, and engineering leadership.
- Provide technical leadership and mentor junior developers as needed.
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional full-stack software engineering experience.
- Strong experience with: React/Redux, TypeScript, JavaScript, Node.js, Next.js, SQL, RESTful API design, PostgreSQL.
- Ability to build complex browser-based frontend experiences with strong UX intuition.
- Comfort with CI/CD workflows and microservices.
Nice to have
- Familiarity with WebGL / 3D graphics / CAD / Three.js / geometric modeling.
- Exposure to AI/ML/LLM-backed product features.
- Early to mid-stage B2B startup experience (0–1, high impact, ability to move fast).
