About the role
Role Overview
Senior Software Engineer to build and evolve internal CX tools used daily by customer support and operations teams. You’ll design and deliver a unified operational platform integrating backend services, billing, data infrastructure, and internal APIs.
What You’ll Work On
- Design, build, and maintain internal tools for customer experience and operational workflows
- Own end-to-end architecture and development for internal systems supporting support and operations teams
- Build backend services and APIs integrating with data systems, billing platforms, and operational workflows
- Create scalable database schemas and event-driven architectures for multiple business domains
- Implement secure role-based access control (RBAC) and permissioning across internal systems
- Develop flexible frontend components for complex workflows without tight coupling
- Translate real operational workflows into scalable software with product/operations/engineering leadership
- Mentor engineers and help set standards for architecture, code quality, and engineering processes
Requirements
- 6+ years professional software engineering experience (ideally Senior/Lead)
- Strong proficiency in TypeScript, React (Next.js), and modern backend development
- Deep understanding of scalable system design (database architecture, API design, distributed systems patterns)
- Experience implementing RBAC, complex data models, and high-volume operational workflows
- Product mindset focused on improving operational efficiency and UX
- Ability to work autonomously in a remote-first environment
- Strong communication and stakeholder collaboration skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in health-tech, fintech, or other regulated industries
- Designing systems handling sensitive/compliance-driven data
- Familiarity with internal tools/operational workflow platforms
- Experience optimizing databases and queries for large-scale datasets
