About the role

Role overview

As a Senior Software Engineer at Cut+Dry, you’ll build and enhance customer-facing features for food distributors and restaurant operators. You’ll work closely with product teams and internal stakeholders, and you’ll have opportunities to interact with customers to see your impact in real-world scenarios.

Responsibilities

Develop high-quality code aligned with product requirements.
Accelerate delivery using AI-assisted coding tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Cursor).
Write effective technical user stories and ensure non-functional requirements (performance, scaling) are met.
Resolve defects and manage technical debt, including using AI for automated bug detection and refactoring.
Apply DevOps practices: CI/CD, SDLC automation, and proactive monitoring.
Identify and implement opportunities to add LLM/AI capabilities that improve the user experience.
Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and paired programming.
Continuously evaluate emerging AI technologies to strengthen engineering practices.

Requirements (Mandatory)

Bachelor’s in CS or 4–5 years of relevant development experience.
3+ years building high-performance, scalable applications in an agile environment.
Expert proficiency using AI workflows (LLMs, prompt engineering for code, or AI-integrated IDEs) to improve productivity and quality.
Hands-on experience with modern languages and frameworks: Java, JavaScript, PHP, React, Python, GraphQL, MySQL.
Strong experience building and deploying on AWS.
Fluency with DevOps: CI/CD, containerization, and Infrastructure as Code.
