About the role

Role Overview

Senior Software Engineer at Cut+Dry. You will build and enhance customer-facing applications used by food distributors and restaurant operators, partnering closely with product, engineering, and business stakeholders. You’ll also help integrate AI-driven development to improve velocity, quality, and innovation.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with the product team to deliver high-quality code aligned to product requirements.
Use AI-assisted coding tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Cursor) to accelerate development and improve code quality.
Write technical user stories and ensure non-functional requirements (performance, scaling) are met.
Resolve defects, manage technical debt, and leverage AI for automated bug detection/refactoring.
Apply DevOps practices including CI/CD, SDLC automation, and proactive monitoring.
Identify opportunities to implement LLMs/AI features to enhance the platform experience for distributors and restaurants.
Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and paired programming.
Continuously evaluate emerging AI technologies and adopt best practices.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in CS or 4–5 years of relevant development experience.
3+ years building high-performance, scalable applications in an agile environment.
Expert proficiency with AI workflows (LLMs, prompt engineering for code, or AI-integrated IDEs) to improve productivity.
Strong hands-on experience with: Java, JavaScript, PHP, React, Python, GraphQL, MySQL.
Experience building and deploying on AWS.
Fluency with DevOps: CI/CD, containerization, and infrastructure as code.
