About the role

Role Overview

Cut+Dry is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to build and enhance customer-facing applications used by food distributors and restaurant operators. You’ll collaborate with product, engineering, product marketing, and leadership, and you’ll also have opportunities to interact with customers to apply feedback in real-world settings.

Responsibilities

Work closely with the product team to deliver high-quality code aligned to product requirements.
Accelerate development using AI-assisted coding tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Cursor).
Write technical user stories and ensure non-functional requirements (performance, scaling) are met.
Resolve defects, manage technical debt, and leverage AI for automated bug detection and refactoring.
Apply DevOps practices including CI/CD, SDLC automation, and proactive monitoring.
Identify opportunities to implement LLMs/AI features to enhance the platform experience.
Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and paired programming.
Continuously evaluate emerging AI technologies to improve engineering practices.

Requirements (Mandatory)

B.S. in CS or 4–5 years of relevant experience.
3+ years building high-performance, scalable applications in an agile environment.
Expert ability using AI workflows (LLMs, prompt engineering for code, or AI-integrated IDEs) to improve personal and team productivity.
Hands-on experience with modern languages and frameworks: Java, JavaScript, PHP, React, Python, GraphQL, MySQL.
Experience building and deploying applications on cloud platforms, specifically AWS.
Fluency with DevOps: CI/CD, containerization, and Infrastructure as Code.
